HARVEST 2026

14th September 2026

Can you help people in Salisbury and southeast Wiltshire this Harvest?

This Harvest we’re asking you to help support local people in crisis by collecting tinned and dried food or to make a financial contribution to Salisbury Foodbank. We are asking everyone to rally round to give items such as tinned veg, tinned meat – such as meatballs, stews or ham, tinned or long life puddings – such as jelly or custard, log life fruit juice and toiletries.

For financial donations, please visit our dedicated Harvest appeal fundraising page. https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/foodbankharvest2026 We aim to collect at least £1 for every person we support over a three-week period.  Help us achieve and exceed that goal!

Our latest figures reveal that we have supported 7,188 people with emergency food parcels over the last year.  People who couldn’t afford the essentials in Salisbury and the surrounding areas –shockingly 2,855 of these were children.

Food banks provide emergency food and practical support to people who have been left without enough money to live on. Rising food and fuel prices, static incomes, high unemployment and changes to benefits are causing many families to struggle to put food on the table but you can help be part of the solution by supporting Salisbury Foodbank.

People also receive emotional support, and a reminder that they are not alone and someone understands. The volunteers at food banks offer a friendly face and basic kindness. For many people, it’s the first time someone has sat down and listened to them – especially when they have been worn down by the way our social security system currently works.

Please join us by giving food so that local people in crisis don’t face hunger. We really appreciate your support so we can make the greatest possible difference to people experiencing hardship in Salisbury and Southeast Wiltshire.

Please make sure all food is unopened, non-perishable, in date, and undamaged. Thank you!

Consider becoming a regular financial donor – this will enable us to continue to support our community, keeping our lights on, our van on the road and food on the tables of people who need it most.

We’ve had a kick start to the appeal – Can you help us beat the targets??
